The Manufacturing Process
The Manufacturing Process
Shutter Byrd of Texas' manufacturer of choice is USA Shutters. They have over 20 years of experience making high-quality custom shutters for residential properties. They use the most trusted materials in the industry and take their time when it comes to making your shutters. The team utilizes the latest equipment that guarantees your shutters are made right.
Below you will see the step-by-step process each shutter goes through before it is installed into your home.
Shutter Fabrication
This is the first step of the shutter manufacturing process. Our woodworkers receive a cut sheet of the the customer window measurements and shutter specifications. They then cut the louvers, stiles, rails, and control strips for each shutter based on the exact window measurements. The shutters are then assembled, cut to length, and moved to the framing station.
Finishing
Our team of finishers carefully inspects every shutter and frame to make sure they are in perfect condition before painting.
Frame Building
All frame joints are mitered in the top corners and secured with a fast setting, 1000 lb. tensile strength glue and screws. They are then filled and sanded prior to painting for a clean, tight joint.
Paint/Stain
Our shutters are painted for each customer. You do not have to choose from a deck of limited colors. We use a high flow paint booth with state of the art spray equipment which gives our shutters a smooth, lustrous finish.
Arches
USA Shutters employs the finest craftsmen to shape and build our beautiful full arch, eyebrow arches and a multitude of contoured shaped shutters.
Installation Prep
During this process we install all of our shutters in the frames and mount the hardware. This is done in the shop, not on site, thus making our installation time faster. We also inspect our shutters during this step.
